NW Plus Credit Union employees worked together to collect and donate more than 50 toys to Connect Casino Road’s Wintertide held at The Village on Casino Road on December 6. This annual event allows parents to “shop” for holiday gifts for their kids from ages 0 – 18.
“It was heartwarming to see our team come together for this very special mission,” said Melissa Figueroa, Community Engagement for NW Plus CU, who organized the toy drive. “Community is a pillar for us at NW Plus CU. We understand that bringing humanity to financial services extends beyond our doors and into our communities. We are intentional about serving the community needs, and seeking opportunities to show our commitment to the areas we work in.”
Toys were collected at NW Plus CU’s Hewitt Avenue location in Everett from November 15 – December 2 and donated to CCR on Giving Tuesday. In 2023, Wintertide was able to provide gifts to around 250 children.
“NW Plus Credit Union’s donation helped us surpass our goal of 250 toys for the children of the Casino Road community, making this year our most successful toy drive ever,” said Genna Kilduff, Development Manager, Connect Casino road. “With their donation of over 50 toys, we were able to offer more than 300 toys to families at our Wintertide celebration. I got to see firsthand the smiles and absolute joy their donated gifts brought to the children and their families. Thank you for making this season special for so many families this year!”
